2020-2021 Invent Girls
The Team

The 2020-2021 Invent Girls consisted of 16 girls from San Fernando High School. To kick off the year, the girls began on their quest to choose an issue that they wanted to address in their community. The team ultimately decided to focus on medicine adherence!
The Invent Girls created a prototype of a device and app called MedMe, which allows the user to program the intake of up to four medications. The team integrated an LCD screen, LED lights, and a buzzer to alert the user when it is time to take their medication. The Invent Girls learned about app development, programming, and 3D design and printing.
We congratulate and thank the Invent Girls for their dedication and commitment to DIY Girls. The team rose to the challenge and supported each other along the way. On May 5, 2021, the Invent Girls shared their project in front of an audience at a virtual showcase. Scroll down and check out their virtual showcase today!
