2021-2022 Invent Girls

2021-2022 Invent Girls

The 2021-2022 Invent Girls consisted of 18 girls from San Fernando High School. To kick off the year, the team searched for an issue in their community that they wanted to address. The team ultimately decided that as students, their academic experience shifted during the pandemic and they wanted to address it by prototyping a robot and app that will aid the user with time management skills and encourage productivity, making the two work hand in hand. During quarantine, 78% of high school and college students felt interrupted in their education due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and 44% of students worried about staying enrolled in school. In order to adapt to constant changes in their environment, the team created a mobile learning space that guides and encourages the user through efficient study sessions. Check out their app and robot designs.

We congratulate and thank the Invent Girls for their dedication and commitment to DIY Girls. The team rose to the challenge and supported each other along the way. On May 6, 2022, the Invent Girls hosted an intimate showcase for their family members, where they presented their final project. Scroll down and check out their showcase today!
