Elementary school

Our Creative Electronics Program introduces 5th-grade girls and gender-expansive youth to technology, engineering concepts, and related career fields through engagement in hands-on projects and valuable exposure to various engineering disciplines through making and design. These projects encourage students to expand their technical skills, such as troubleshooting, reading schematics, and building circuits with a variety of electrical components. By designing and building projects that encourage the expansion of technical skills, students develop the self-confidence that enables them to embrace their creativity and curiosity. Participants also develop a strong sense of belonging within a supportive community of peers who each share an interest in technology. In 2022-2023, we served 162 girls with our Creative Electronics program.
