DIY Girls is proud to bring our 10-Week after-school program to your elementary school. This program will take place after school, once per week, and is open to all 5th-grade girls and gender-expansive youth* for free! Students enrolled in the program will learn about electronics, circuits, and other new and creative technologies. All materials for these “Do It Yourself” projects will be provided. 

To enroll, please complete the following form by Friday, February 17, 2023.
The Spring 2023 programs begin the week of February 27, 2023. The schedule is the following:

  • Students from O’Melveny Elementary School: Monday @ 2:40-4:40 PM in Room 8
  • Students from Hillery T. Broadous Elementary School: Tuesday @ 1:35-3:35 PM in Room 27
  • Students from Haddon Avenue STEAM Academy: Wednesday @ 2:20-4:20 PM in Room 14
  • Students from Sara Coughlin Elementary School: Thursday @ 2:35-4:35 PM in Room 33

Each school has 30 spaces available and enrollment will be determined in the order the forms are received. Parents will receive an email by Wednesday, February 22nd notifying them if their student has been accepted or put on a waitlist.

La organización DIY Girls se enorgullece en ofrecer un programa de 10 semanas, después de escuela en su primaria. Este programa sera después de escuela, una vez por semana, para chicas y jóvenes de género expansivo* del quinto grado y es completamente gratis! Estudiantes inscritas en el programa diseñarán proyectos relacionados con ingeniería eléctrica, circuitos, y tecnología. Todos los materiales para los proyectos serán proveídos.

Para inscribir a su estudiante, llene la forma siguiente a más tardar el Viernes, 17 de Febrero 2023.

Los programas de Primavera 2023 empezaran la semana del 27 de Febrero 2023. El horario es el siguiente:

I agree that any photography/video taken of my child at the DIY Girls Program is sole property of DIY Girls and may be used by the DIY Girls organization. I understand that if my student is enrolled in the program, it is important that they attend every session for the full 2 hours. If my student must miss a session I will communicate with the DIY Girls team ahead of time. Failure to do so may result in my student being dropped from the program.
