Fall 2025 Program Highlight

Our programs for 5th–12th-grade girls and gender-expansive youth are in full swing, and your support is what makes it all possible. Whether you joined us at the 2025 Gala, give monthly, or share our mission with others, you’re helping young people build confidence, skills, and connection. Keep reading to see what we’re accomplishing together this season, and how you can help us go even further.

Creative Electronics

Our 5th graders are shining bright and have been hard at work exploring circuits! First designing LED cards, then tackling solar-powered cars that run on series circuits. Next up: sewing a parallel circuit on an LED Creature using conductive thread! 🪡 The creativity and curiosity in our classrooms are electric. ⚡

Tech & Arts

Creativity is taking off in our middle school classrooms! 🚀🪐 Students are painting vibrant galaxies and transforming their cosmic visions into mixed-media art, complete with embroidered textures, 3D-printed designs, and glowing electrical features. We can’t wait to share their stellar creations soon.

Invent Girls

New year, new mini projects! Our high school Invent Girls participants recently completed their first mini project, the Magic Mirror, a hands-on way to explore sensors, circuitry, and soldering. 💡🪞 Next up: the Tote-ally You tote bag!

Thank You to Our Partners

The amazing work our students are doing would not be possible without the generous support of our incredible partners. We’re especially grateful to the Sony Pictures Entertainment Women in Technology (WiT) EBRG and Crane Charitable Funds for their commitment to uplifting the next generation of STEM leaders! 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽

Representing the WiT employee resource group, Shawndrell Lynch, IT Vice President at Sony Pictures Entertainment, kicked off our Guest Speaker Week at Arleta High School, sharing her inspiring career journey with our students. Click here to read all about this incredible presentation!

Our team also had the pleasure of attending the 2025 Crane Fund Award Ceremony, where we connected with fellow grantees and members of the Crane Aerospace & Electronics team. It was a fantastic opportunity to share our mission and celebrate the impact we’re creating together.

Thank you, WiT and Crane, for believing in our work and being a vital part of our students’ journeys!💖
