Meet Lori, a DIY Girls alum who is now in her final year at UC Riverside, majoring in Environmental Engineering with a concentration in water pollution control. Reflecting on her DIY Girls journey, Lori shared:
“DIY Girls introduced, encouraged, and supported my pursuit as a woman in STEM since I started thinking of a possible career. I’m most grateful for the confidence it instilled in me, especially at such a young age. As a first-generation girl in engineering, I can always look back to my DIY Girls memories to stop the imposturous feeling. I hope the same for the younger generation of DIY Girls and to contribute to the representation of women engineers in our community.”
