6-8TH GRADE APPLICATION – SPRING 2023

DIY Girls is proud to bring our 10-Week after-school program to your middle school. This program will take place after school, once per week, and is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls and gender expansive youth* for free! Girls enrolled in the program will learn about aerospace engineering, animation and soldering by creating hands-on projects. All materials for these “Do It Yourself” projects will be provided. 

To enroll, please complete the following form by Friday, February 10, 2023.

The Spring 2023 programs begin the week of February 27, 2023 and the schedule is the following:

• Students from MIT @ Vaughn: Monday @ 3:10-5:10 PM in Room TBD
• Students from Northridge Middle School: Tuesday @ 1:50 – 3:50 PM in Room 190
• Students from Robert Frost Middle School: Thursday @ 3:30-5:30 PM in Room TBD

Each school has 30 spaces available and enrollment will be determined in the order the forms are received. Parents will receive an email by Monday, February 13th notifying them if their student has been accepted or put on a waitlist.

La organización DIY Girls se enorgullece en ofrecer un programa de 10 semanas, después de escuela en su secundaria. Este programa sera después de escuela, una vez por semana, para chicas y jóvenes de género expansivo* de sexto, septimo, y octavo grado y es completamente gratis! Las chicas inscritas en el programa aprenderá sobre ingeniería aeroespacial, animación y soldadura mediante la creación de proyectos prácticos. Todos los materiales para los proyectos serán proveídos.

Para inscribir a su estudiante, llene la forma siguiente a más tardar el Viernes, 10 de Febrero 2023. 

Los programas de Primavera 2023 empezaran la semana del 27 de Febrero 2023 y el horario es el siguiente:

Cada escuela tiene 30 espacios disponibles y la inscripción será determinada en el orden que se reciban los formularios. Padres recibirán un correo electrónico el lunes, 13 de febrero notificándoles si su estudiante ha sido aceptada o puesta en una lista de espera.

I understand that if my student is enrolled in the program, it is important that they attend every session for the full 2 hours. If my student must miss a session I will communicate with the DIY Girls team ahead of time. Failure to do so may result in my student being dropped from the program.
