Starting Spring 2026 Strong!
Our Spring 2026 programs are back, and more inspiring than ever! Across Creative Electronics, Tech & Arts, and Invent Girls, students are gaining new skills, exploring their creativity, and discovering what they are capable of. Hands-on learning is in full swing. From 5th graders building their first electrical circuits to Tech & Arts students painting galaxies and bringing them to life with 3D-printed and soldered elements, confidence is growing with every project. Our high school Invent Girls are taking this growth even further, as they assemble and program their capstone project: the LumaRise alarm clock. Along the way, we are witnessing powerful “aha” moments we are excited to share with you!
Creative Electronics
Meet Abigail, a bright 5th-grader from Broadous Elementary School, who truly shined while recently completing her LED Card Project! Her card reads, “We are girls, we can do anything.” Abigail brings incredible enthusiasm to every activity and often jumps in with answers before our Co-Instructors even ask the question. Her curiosity, confidence, and positivity make every session brighter. Future innovator in the making!
Tech & Arts
Kaylie is an 8th grader at Robert Frost Middle School and has been with DIY Girls since 6th grade. She successfully completed the timed parallel circuit challenge and expressed how proud she is of her progress. As a 6th grader, she found such activities confusing, but as an 8th grader, she finds it “much easier now!” Kaylie’s resilience and progress is inspiring!
Invent Girls
One of the amazing participants shining bright in our high school program is Ariana, a returning student at Arleta High School. Last year, she openly shared that coding felt really difficult, so she didn’t think it was “her thing.” Like many students encountering programming for the first time, she struggled with confidence and uncertainty. Today, Ariana is confidently leading her design team. Not only is she coding, but she’s guiding others, smiling through challenges, and stepping fully into her leadership role.
